Environmental process: People would think that natural fur only has an impact on the animal and not the environment but this isn't true. According to PETA, each mink skinned by fur farmers produces around 44 pounds of feces which can lead up to 1 million pounds of feces produced annually. This waste is considered nearly 1,000 tons of phosphorus, which can wreak havoc on rivers and streams. Also about 8,000 pounds of ammonia is released into the atmosphere each year.
